Colour description
(1.17) Dark and mysterious raven black. Indigo Shadow will give a blue black tone on medium to dark brown hair. This colour is ideal for most complexions, especially people with naturally brown or dark hair.
*A Red Shadow or Copper Shadow base application is required for grey, light blonde & colour resistant hair to achieve optimum colour results. If instructions are not follwed & red base is not used the result will not be as shown.

Me Time required
Organic hair colours need time to deposit colour on your hair. Please allow the following amount of time for your colour treatment.
Non Grey coverage (medium to dark brown base): 1 hr

Amount of product required
Short hair & root touch ups - 1/2 pack
Medium hair - 1 pack
Long hair - 1 to 1.5 packs
Super long hair - 2 to 3 packs
Thick hair - will need to add an extra 1/4 pack for short hair and 1/2 (short to medium) to 3/4 pack (for long hair)

*Please note - repeated use will see your colour become richer and in some cases darker. Once you achieve the colour shade you like on the lengths, simply apply to the roots only and do a full application every 4th or 5th time to boost the colour at the ends. This will save time and product and ensure you have an even colour all over.

*We also recommend a strand test to determine desired processing time and final colour result. Colour resistant hair will require the longer period for processing time. Not recommended for people who wish to bleach or lighten their hair blonde in the future. Strand test instructions can be found here

Liquid measurement for mixing
250ml of warm water (30º- 40ºC)
Do not use any other liquid except H2O to mix your indigo colour.

Indigo shadow
Desert Shadow henna is the only henna I will use now. I have sensitive skin and react to chemical hair dyes and I can be sure that Desert Shadow doesn't contain any chemicals or metallic salts. My hair looks healthier, stronger and feels softer after applying the henna. I had bleached hair and highlighted hair which was damaged. I used Chestnut shadow first and a few weeks later applied Indigo shadow for a dark result. I love this product and can't recommend highly enough.

Indigo
This is a lovely product to use. Low odour, mixes easily and no allergic reactions which I get with even henna, and every other ‘clean’ product I have tried, Desert Shadow Indigo works well on greys - I mix mine as per the instructions, but with black tea as well. It lasts 3-4 weeks depending on the frequency of washes. I highly recommend it.

Beautiful soft black hair
This is the only natural black dye that worked for me, I was surprised by how black my hair turned out (from my brown hair) which is what I wanted. I really recommend it if allergic to chemical dyes and want amazing black hair.
