Golden and warm like the Sun, Sun Shadow will give a beautiful Blonde tone to grey hair and will brighten and enliven naturally light or blonde hair.
This colour is ideal for those who have lighter hair or for turning greys into golden highlights.
*this colour will not lighten the hair as it contains no bleach or peroxide

Me Time required
Organic hair colours need time to deposit colour on your hair. Please allow the following amount of time for your colour treatment.
Non Grey coverage : 1 hr
Grey coverage : 1.5 to 3 hrs
Amount of product required
Short hair & root touch ups - 1/2 pack
Medium hair - 1 pack
Long hair - 1 to 1.5 packs
Super long hair - 2 to 3 packs
Thick hair - will need to add an extra 1/4 pack for short hair and 1/2 (short to medium) to 3/4 pack (for long hair)
*Please note - repeated use will see your colour become richer and in some cases darker. Once you achieve the colour shade you like on the lengths, simply apply to the roots only and do a full application every 4th or 5th time to boost the colour at the ends. This will save time and product and ensure you have an even colour all over.

Important
*We recommend a strand test to determine desired processing time and final colour result. Colour resistant hair will require the longer period for processing time. Not recommended for people who wish to bleach or lighten their hair blonde in the future. Strand test instructions can be found here

Liquid measurement for mixing
250ml warm water or herbal tea (30º- 40ºC)
20 to 40ml of additional warm water (only if required).

Sun Shadow
The parcel arrived with a heart centred message hand written on the inside.. Such a caring note before opening the items. Sun Shadow is my first time on surf blonde hair,, I would like it to be lighter but the condition of my hair felt amazing after 2 hours. I will try it next time for 3 hours and let it cure for longer before applying. Overall it was easy to apply,, certainly a day at home colouring and getting other things done. Washed out easier than I thought.. I would love to see another shade much lighter if possible with the herb to lighten it... Very happy with result...

Love this subtle colour
I use this dye over my greys. It covers them fairly effectively and gives my hair a golden glow, when out in the sun.

henna sun shadow
This product does take more time to apply and use. By the second time it was not so confronting and I enjoyed the 'play time'. The colour definitely was more brassy at first, but this lessened and became more natural with time. There seems to be an orange/gold tinge to the colour (particularly on lighter/grey hair) but my hair does tend to throw red tones anyway. I will continue to use this colour as I like using natural products that ultimately benefit my hair and scalp and also enjoy the opportunity to apply it myself.

I used the pre-wash soap for grey hair and then applied the sun shadow, i followed the videos on how to do it. I left it in for 3 hours, it made my silver grey hair a nice yellow blonde colour.. It was very uniform and i would suggest this would be a good colour for warm skin coloured people. Unfortunately i have cool coloured skin and didn't suit me so i will stick to my silver grey hair but excellent if you have the warm coloured skin tone.

Turn your silvers to gold!
I have multiple chemical sensitivity and artificial fragrances cause me severe and permanent symptoms so I am super cautious. I had no problems at all with Desert Shadow and have used it twice. Each time it has turned my bright silver grey hair into a lovely gold which looks like highlights. I leave it in for 4-5 hours and was surprised how effective it is, plus it leaves my coarse curly hair in good condition. Excellent service from Desert Shadow too.
